He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Col. Charles Thorne (U. S.) and Jewell Thorne; his wife Peggy Hawkins Thorne; his stepchildren, Tammy Call and Joey Smith of Knoxville, TN; and his daughter Terri Poburski of Fishers, IN.. He was also cherished by one grandson and 4 step-grandchildren.
