He was predeceased by: his parents, Bruce Phipps and Lillian Phipps; his daughter Annalee Phipps Lowe; and his siblings, Kitty Hamilton, Judy Lewis and Steve Phipps.
He is survived by: his sons, David Bruce Phipps (Cindi), Jerry Roger Phipps, Jr. and Mackenzie Wayne Phipps; and his siblings, Rose Holcomb (Bill), Elaine Crowder (Jerrell), Randy Phipps and Mike Phipps. He is also survived by five grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Blevins Funeral & Cremation Services (417 Lee St, Bristol, VA 24201).
