We bid farewell to Rita V. Howard (Bristol, Tennessee), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on January 25, 2025 at the age of 84. Rita touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Velma Heath and Toy Odell Howard; and her siblings, Olivia Howard, Ethel Howard, Genevieve, Iris Ross, Linnie Westmoreland and Roland Howard.
She is survived by: her brothers, Harris Howard, William Howard, Milton Howard and Aaron Howard. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Hood Memorial AME Zion Church (612 5th St, Bristol, TN 37620). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at the Glenwood Cemetery (839 Bluff City Hwy, Bristol, TN 37620).
