It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Retha Jean Nixon (Bristol, Tennessee), who passed away on July 4, 2019, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Carl Nixon; her son Eric Nixon (Tracy); her grandchildren, Elias and Erin; her siblings, Judy Gilley, Kim Gilliam and Anita Frye; her parents, Clifton Morrell and Wanda Morrell; and her friend Lonica Deskins.

In lieu of flowers, Retha requested that donations be made to the Building Fund of Tennessee Ave. Baptist Church 104 Cypress St, Bristol, TN 37620 or West Monroe Baptist Church PO Box 487, Monroe, NC 28111.
