He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Vincent Guthrie, Sr. and Ellen Charlotte Norsten Guthrie; his son Norris Guthrie, Jr.; and his brothers, John N. Guthrie and Paul V. Guthrie.
He is survived by: his wife Charlotte Ray Guthrie; his children, Christine Guthrie Lay and Sean Richard Guthrie (Paige); his grandchildren, Brice Lay, Isabelle and Nicholas Guthrie; and his siblings, Fred V. Guthrie, Sr., Marilyn Griggs and Kathryn Aycock. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
