She was predeceased by: her parents, Sherman Necessary and Eva Aralee Sorah Necessary; her husband Cecil Gordon; and her siblings, Howard Necessary and Geneva Ratliff.
She is survived by: her siblings, Dorothy Crosswhite (Eddie) of Bristol, TN, Cecil Necessary of Arvada, CO, Lillian Worley of Bristol, VA, Beulah Harrison (J. C.) of Bristol, VA, Wilburn Necessary (Jerlene) of Bristol, VA and Verlin Necessary (Brenda) of Bristol, VA. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
