Karen M. Boone Obituary
We are sad to announce that on February 22, 2025, Karen M. Boone of Bristol, Tennessee passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Dr. Tim Vandergrift and Mabel Tonkery Vandergrift; her husband Benny Boone; and her stepson Ronnie. She is survived by: her sisters, Jean Brent and Jerry Urse of Johnson City, TN; her children, Dr. Rick Guthrie (Cindy) of Bluff City, TN, Elisa Gastineau of Knoxville, TN, Barbara Duncan of Blountville, TN and Brenda Inman (Gary) of Bluff City, TN.; her stepsons, Pat and Randy; her grandchildren, Rachel Guthrie Samuel (Joel), Van Guthrie (Sarah), Sarah Guthrie, Michael J., Hannah Gastineau, Andrew G. Smith, Alex and Aaron Inman; and her great grandchildren, Eden, Grace and Jonah. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 AM at the First Presbyterian Church (701 Florida Ave, Bristol, TN 37620). A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 at 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 at 7:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be made to First Presbyterian Church, Healing Hands Health Clinic, or the Susan G. Komen Foundation, all of which were near and dear to Karen's heart.
