He was predeceased by: his parents, John Fletcher Coppedge, Sr. and Marguerite Bedford Coppedge; his sister Marguerite Eleanor Naifeh (Coppedge); and his daughter Christy Wolf (Coppedge). He is survived by: his wife Frances Anderson Coppedge of Bristol; his sons, Michael John Coppedge (Lynn McDonald) of South Bend and Whitley Anderson Coppedge (Liane Ricci) of Chapel Hill; and his grandchildren, Nathan Coppedge, Brian Coppedge of New Haven and Lydia Coppedge of Lafayette, Indiana. He is also survived by many cousins and nephews.
