He was predeceased by: his parents, James Wix and Betty Wix. He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Gross Wix; his sons, Joseph Wix and Wesley Wix; and his siblings, Pat Wix and Jean Barnett (Avery). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
