It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Sherman Owens III of Bristol, Tennessee, who passed away on April 27, 2023, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his father Howard Don Owens; and his sister Pamelia Gwen Owens. He is survived by: his wife N. Carlene Owens; his son Jeff Cumbow; his granddaughter Shawna Walker; his sister Deborah Dickson; his uncles, Don and Jim Dean; his aunt Betty Stewart; and his close friend Jimmy Gross (Shelly).

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to The Church of the Good Shepherd (P.O. Box 1011 Norton, VA 24273) in memory of James.
