With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Helen Louise Helms of Bristol, Tennessee, born in Bristol, Virginia, who passed away on February 1, 2021 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clifford Rutherford and Grace Osborne Rutherford; her husband George Frank Helms, III; and her sisters, Lucille Hicks and Viola Rutherford.
She is survived by: her children, Deborah H. Smith (Randy) of Bristol, TN, George F. "Buzz" Helms, IV (Kristie) of Bristol, VA and Mark R. Helms (Genia) of Bristol, TN; her grandchildren, George Franklin Helms, Lindsey Ashby (Brandon), Tyler Smith, Devon Correll, Grace Helms, Elliott Helms and Dylan Helms; and her great grandchildren, Nicholas Ashby and Taylor Ashby. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
For the safety of all those in attendance at the services, CDC guidelines will be followed, including the use of face mask and the practice of social distancing.
