She was predeceased by: her parents, Nathan Walter Garland and Sarah Quales Garland; her husband Paul Francis Ackley Jr.; and her siblings, Michael Lynn Garland and Joyce White.
She is survived by: her children, Bernadette Ackley of Douglasville, GA, Amber Jones (Jay Jones) of Turtletown, TN and Brian Ackley of Douglasville, GA; her grandchildren, Erin Jones, Ali Jones and Aiden Jones; her siblings, Venema Wampler of Abingdon, VA, Judy Rogers, Rev. Gary Garland (Judy) of Bristol, TN and David Garland (Rhonda) of Bristol, TN; and her close friends, Jim Yencha and Pam Costagliolia. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
