Georgia Root Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Georgia Root of Bristol, Tennessee, born in Cincinnati, Ohio, who passed away on October 3, 2020, at the age of 65, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Maloney and Lorna McGuire Maloney; and her sister Lorna Schutte. She is survived by: her husband Mark Root; her children, Lauren Elam (Michael) and Jason Paul Root (Greta Hagg); her grandchildren, Ava Marie Sanders, Mia Isabelle Sanders, Nora Claire Elam and Harper Matilee Elam; her brother John Maloney Jr.; and her pet Charlie Sprocket. She is also survived by several in-laws, nieces and nephews.
Due to the COVID-19 virus, the family will plan a Celebration of Life at a time and place in the future when conditions make travel safer for family, friends and loved ones.
