He was predeceased by: his parents, George MacDonald Gillen and Muriel Saunders Gillen; and his daughter Dr. Kathryn Barbara Foss (Peter Foss). He is survived by: his wife Barbara Jean Gillen; his children, Muriel Ann Gillen Baker (Olan), Merifaith Perdue (Steve), Melissa Mae Reid, Barbara Jean Wallace (Jefferey Wallace), George T. R. Gillen (Tammy) and Rudolph M. L. Gillen; and his siblings, John L. Gillen (Betsy) and Linda Ogata (Craig). He is also survived by 20 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews.
