He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Leonard and Sarah White Leonard; his wife Margaret Kegley Leonard; his daughter Helen Marie Weaver; and his grandson Daryl Smith.
He is survived by: his daughters, Nancy Lee Hemmings, Charlotte Ann Smith and Betty Jean Weaver. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; several great grandchildren; several siblings; and several nieces and nephews.
