He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Sr. Frye and Betty Jo Frye; and his son-in-law Christopher Brooks. He is survived by: his wife Beth; his mother-in-law Peggy; his children, Martin Frye (Becky), Britanie Walden (Billy), Jessica Barker (Chad) and Megan Frye; his grandchildren, Joseph (Hunter), Skylar, Brady, Jonathan, Jada, Peyton, Dillon, Chaz, Cooper, Sadie, Kaitleigh, Ella and Everleigh; his siblings, Ronald Frye (Jane), Ann Vance (Rick) and Jane Nichols (Bob); and also Macie. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In-lieu of flowers, if so desired, the family has requested that contributions be made to the Central Heights Booster Club, 158 Central Heights Rd. Blountville, TN 37617, where he coached for so many years.
