It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy Louese Mattison (Bristol, Tennessee), born in Itta Bena, Mississippi, who passed away on April 3, 2024, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, David Nash Wilkins Love and Mildred Campbell Love Pepper; her husband Dr. Louis Emil Mattison; and her children, Louis Emil Mattison, Jr. and Mary Lynn Rankin.
She is survived by: her daughter Diana Mattison of Bristol, Tennessee.; her brother Dr. David Nash Love, Jr.; her grandchildren, Amanda Henderson (Joey) and John Rankin (Annie); and her great grandchildren, Mason Henderson and Adeline Rankin. She is also survived by several nephews and nieces.
In lieu of flowers, Dot's request was that all memorial contributions be made to either the First Presbyterian Church Friendship Class or The Minister Discretion Fund (701 Florida Avenue, Bristol, Tennessee 37620.
