It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dixie Marie Summerson Jones of Bristol, Tennessee, born in Saltville, Virginia, who passed away on October 17, 2022, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Harrison Summerson and Pauline Summerson Venable; her husband Howard Wesley Jones; and her sister Joyce Ann Summerson. She is survived by: her daughters, Teresa Jones Slagle (Garry) of Bristol, TN, Jenny Henry (Tim) of Bristol, TN and Donna Addington (Billy) of Bristol, TN; her brothers, Carl Summerson, Roy Summerson, Mike Summerson (Suzette), Chris Summerson (Tammy) and Keith Allen Summerson (Cindy); her grandchildren, Dr. Derek Slagle (Brittany Slagle), Seth Slagle (Brittany), Jessica Hayes (Brett), Eric Henry (Brittany), Casey Skeen, Tess Addington and Garrett Addington; her great grandchildren, Braden Slagle, Tucker Slagle, Olivia Slagle, Aria Slagle, Archer Hayes, Elijah Henry and Rawlings McGrew; and her nephew Shannon Summerson. She is also survived by several other nieces and nephews.
