She was predeceased by: her parents, Eldon Opie and Dorothy Pooley Opie; her husband F. William "Bill" Thomas (Bill); and her grandsons, Nychai Damone Burrell and Benjamin Rio Thomas.
She is survived by: her children, Deborah Diane Thomas of Broomfield, Thomas William "Tom" Thomas (Kimberly Muench) of Estes Park and Kathryn Kay Thomas of Yardley, Pennsylvania; her grandsons, James Thomas Moyer and William Muench Thomas; her great grandchildren, Kya, Myaira and Khalani Burrell; her sister Carolyn Opie Munro of Northbrook, Illinois; and her brothers-in-law, Robert J. Thomas and William J. Munro. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a college fund for Diane's descendants.
