He was predeceased by: his parent Bristol; and his sisters, Agnes Brown and Martha Ashburner Rigdon. He is survived by: his nephews, Jim Ashburner (Carol), Bill Ashburner and Steve Ashburner (Rebecca); and his friends, Larry, Betty Horne, Rev. Michael and Rev. Melissa Swofford.
He was so excited to be able to travel back to Bristol to attend worship services one last time to celebrate his 70th anniversary of joining State Street UMC in 2020 just before the pandemic shut everything down.
