She was predeceased by: her parents, Mabel Sturgill Pennington and James "Riley" Pennington; and her husband Mack Trammell. She is survived by: her sister Betty Barker of Marion, VA; her nieces, Michele Kell (Ralph, Jr.) and Elizabeth Spence (Dean); her great-nephews, Drew Spence (Kim), Chris Kell (Amanda) and Cory Spence (Rachael); her great-niece Laura Kell; her aunt Helen Sturgill; her close friend Sanford Dutton; her right hand women Stella Bachman; her friend Mary Lou Waak; and also, Bradley Kell, Colson Treski, Brice Spence, Gunnar Spence, Cory Spence, Jr. and Lily Kell.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Carol's memory to her church, South Fork Baptist Church, P.O. Box 1402, Marion, VA 24354 or to one of her favorite charities, as a fitting tribute to her compassionate spirit.
