He was predeceased by: his parents, William Harrison Martz and Gladys Bell Martz; his former wife Barbara Whitlow Martz; and his brother Ronald Lee Martz. He is survived by: his wife Melinda L. Martz; his children, Carrie Beard (Jordan), Patricia Whitehead, Katrina Stewart (Russell J. Harvey), Selena Collins (John) and Robert Linsner (Selena); his sister Shelley Rene Martz; his grandchildren, Jennifer, Lauren, Katherine (Benjamin), Elijah, Rachel, Theodore, Kaylee, Clara, Aubrey, Ollie, Harrison and Lorena; his great grandchildren, Aimee, Elodie and Eleanora; and his nephew Neil Whitlow (Lillian).

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Munford Baptist Church Children's Ministry, Gideons International or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
