He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Simmerman and Louise Cross Simmerman; and his siblings, Billy Simmerman, Terry Simmerman and Mushie Miles.
He is survived by: his wife Lennie Mae Simmerman; his children, Ted A. Simmerman (Tabitha) of Covington, Lisa Hunt (Jason) of Covington and Beth Heathington (Steve) of Georgia; his stepchildren, Jennifer Thomas (Brett), Marcus White (Jessica), Eddie Maxwell, Jr. and Andy Maxwell; and his siblings, Marvin Simmerman, Danny Simmerman, Rickey Simmerman, Kathy Hughey, Jeannie Strock, Jan Campbell and Gail Whitehead. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
