He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Pamela Owen Johnson of Brighton; his children, Ricky L. Johnson, Jr. of Hartford City, IN, Brandon M. Johnson of Bentonville, AR, Christine N. Owen of Memphis and Rachel Zambroni of Drummonds; and his mother Betty J. Johnson of Canton, MI.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested that memorials be sent to the American Cancer Society.
