He was predeceased by: his parents, William Ernest and Stella Coker Ballard; and his siblings, Ruby Hammons, Pat Northern, Jayroe Ballard and Marvin Ballard.
He is survived by: his children, Sylvia Percy (Les) of Brighton, Sandra Fogleman (Ray) of Washington, Utah and Lesley Ballard (Laurie) of Millington. He is also survived by six grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
