He was predeceased by: his parents, James Earl Trotter, Sr. and Odell Jackson Trotter; and his former wife Lois "Ginny" Trotter of Virginia. He is survived by: his wife Liz Brannon Trotter; his sons, B. G. Brasell, III (Trey) and Brannon Heath Brasell; and his granddaughter Katie Brasell Munoz (Jakob).
