He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin Pearl and Lee Amy Baskin Goforth; his daughter Charlotte Jones; and his siblings, Kenneth Hayes Goforth, Walden Gift Goforth, Russell Leon Goforth, William Monroe Goforth, Warner Allen Goforth, Mary Lee Delashmit and Sarah Frances Kinney.

He is survived by: his children, Nina Glass (Phillip), Anna Goforth, Charles Goforth, Jr., Ronald Goforth and Aaron Goforth; his son-in-law Charles Jones; his brother Alvin Pearl "Bud" Goforth, Jr. (Shirley); his sister-in-law Lorene Goforth; and his grandchildren, Bradlee Bradshaw, Jordan Jones, Kimberly Gill (Ryan), Michael Harper (Cora), Monica Goforth, Ryan Goforth, Derek Goforth, Quinton Goforth, Amy Woods (Jason) and Michelle Murphy (Brett). He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
