He is survived by: his children, Angelia Gordon (Bill) of Powell, TN, Penny Harness of Briceville, TN and Daniel Eugene Poore Jr (Kristina) of Briceville, TN; his grandchildren, Casey Harness, Phillip "Skipper" Harness, Joshua, Shala Fairchild, Hannah, Tyler Wilkerson, Jamie Poore, Shelby Poore and Jessi Gordon; his great grandchildren, McKenzie Cable, Avery Fairchild, Hartlee Wilkerson and Justin Dunaway; and his close friends, Tommie Purcell and Charlie Kennedy. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
