He was predeceased by: his former wife Connie Crowther (Alderman); his parents, Henry "Dick" Richard Crowther and Nancy Adele Crowther (Leymeister); and his brother-in-law James J. Belleau. He is survived by: his wife Joy Crowther (Belleau); his children, Ali Fitch (Ryan) and Nathan Crowther (Janelle); his stepchildren, Brock Harris, Haley Guzowski (Matthew), Paige Harris (Krista) and Tim; his grandchildren, Jett, Palmer and Romy; his uncles, Ron Leymeister and Don Leymeister; his sister-in-law Janis Belleau; and his pet Jackpot.
