She was predeceased by: her parents, Rev Jack P. Phillips and Peggy Marie Price Phillips; and her sister Deborah Reaves (Reeves). She is survived by: her husband W. Austin "Doc" Whitehurst; her siblings, Ronald P. Phillips (Wanda) and Karen P. Phillips; her daughters, Fonda Janiece Weidman and Paula Marie Rose (Michael); her grandchildren, Isabella Schmidt-Pestka, Lathrop Whitehurst Schmidt, Spencer Austin Weidman (Courtney), Michael Andrew Weidman and Christian Alexander Rose; and her great grandchild Penelope Weidman.
