He was predeceased by: his father John A McKinney Jr.. He is survived by: his mother Marjorie McKinney; and his siblings, Jimmy McKinney (Denese) of Dade City, FL. and Janet McKinney of Brentwood, TN. He is also survived by several cousins, two nephews, and several close friends.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to Tunnel to Towers or Wounded Warriors.
