He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley H. McArthur and Mary L. Strasser McArthur; his brothers, Stanley H. McArthur, Jr. and Douglas McArthur; and his sister-in-law Peggy McArthur.
He is survived by: his wife Norma Davidson McArthur; his children, Kim DeVault (Cody) of Eagleville, Lori Zanussi (Steve) of Smyrna, John McArthur, Jr. (Kim) of Cornersville and Tommy McArthur (Mandy) of Nolensville; and his grandchildren, Ashley Peery (Jason), Cody DeVault (Brittni), Drew Robertson (Kim), Rachel Robertson, Allyson Edde, Allie Gross (Garrett), Sara Cross (Cameron), J. D. Robertson, Collin McArthur and Jared McArthur.
