He was predeceased by: his wife Edith Ann Mayo Gordon; and his parents, Henry Gordon and Kathleen Dunham Gordon. He is survived by: his children, John Andrew Gordon (Ashley) and Rebecca Hutto (David); his grandchildren, John Gordon Jr., Samuel Gordon, Natalie Gordon, Deacon Gordon, David Gordon, Sadie Gordon, Taylor Hutto, Gracie Capell (Devin) and Jackson Hutto; his great grandchild Merrin Capell; and his siblings, Sue Ann Hocutt and Ralph Samuel Gordon.
