She was predeceased by: her parents, William Hitzler and Mildred Hitzler Tanner; her stepfather Rev. Clyde Tanner; and her sisters, Evelyn Haas (Vernon) and Ilene Mitchell (Ancel).
She is survived by: her husband Ernest D. Lawson; her daughters, Janet Church (Donald) of Brentwood, TN and Patricia Roach (Samuel) of Kalamazoo; her grandchildren, Derek Church (Katherine), Kevin Church (Stephanie) and Lindsay Brooks (David); and her great grandchildren, Garrison, Lawson, Timothy, Liam, Carter, Parker and Preston. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Kalamazoo Gospel Mission, c/o the funeral home.
