He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Harry Dunstan Ballard, Sr. and Elizabeth Laura Ballard (Whitman); his wife Joanne Martha Dettmann; his children, Whitney Dunstan Ballard of Enfield, CT, James Arthur Ballard of Norwood, MA, Brian Timothy Ballard of Fortson, GA and Elizabeth Anne Boyd (Ballard); his son-in-law William E. Boyd; and his grandchildren, William Ballard Boyd, Camilla Ryerson Boyd and Arthur Davis Boyd. He was also cherished by brothers and sisters-in-laws and nieces and nephews.
