He was predeceased by: his parents, George W. Wissert Sr. and Mary E. Wissert; and his son David Everett Wissert. He is survived by: his wife Myrtle B. Wissert; his children, Mary, NJ, George Wissert III of Antioch and Brian Wissert (Lynn) of Lebanon, TN; and his grandchildren, Madison Wissert and Alexander Wissert.

The family has requested that in lieu of flowers; please donate to Shriners' Hospitals in memory of Mr. Wissert.
