He was predeceased by: his parents, George Baker Hooten and Johnnie Mae Hooten; and his sister Patricia Ann Hooten-Moon. He is survived by: his wife Sherry Denise Hooten; his children, Amanda Hooten, Richard Hooten (Susan), Christopher Hooten (Teresa), Angela Hooten, Alicia Hooten-Goff (Tommy) and Alexandra Hull; his sister Jane Hooten-Elam (Wade); and his grandchildren, Hannah Hooten and Aiden Hooten Baltz.
