He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Gross and Clara Browning Gross; and his siblings, John Franks, Marjorie Jarmin, Mary Benjamin Hector, Clara Elizabeth Hunter, Joy Higgins, Anna Lou Weiskittel and Patricia Barnhill.

He is survived by: his sister Adelaide Toole of Nolensville, TN. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
