He was predeceased by: his stepfather Earl Hurdle; and his mother Patience Hurdle. He is survived by: his wife Holly Miller Owens; his stepchildren, Jeremiah Gapen, Jesse Gapen and Amanda Jean Gapen; his brother Robert Buck Owens; and his grandchildren, Gavin, Landon, Valon, Cameron, Sam, Seth, Shyanne, Allie and Summer.
