He was predeceased by : his parents, James Hubert and Lassie Scarlett Hooper; his wife Bertha Forsee Hooper; his son Stephen Hooper; and his grandson Tyler McGahey.

He is survived by : his daughter Lori; his son-in-law Ray McGahey; his niece Pam Neal (Brad); his grandchildren, Kyle McGahey (Lisa) of Spring Hill, TN, Ariel McGahey Clark (Andrew) of Jackson, TN, Samuel McGahey of Bon Aqua and Zachariah McGahey of Bon Aqua; his great grandchildren, Ella, Abby and Asa McGahey; his sister Nancy Elkins of Brentwood, TN; his great-nephews, Blake Neal (Christina) of Florida and Nicholas Neal of Florida; and his great-niece Caroline Fox (Anthony) of Florida. He is also survived by several other nieces, nephews, cousins, co-workers, and friends.
