He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Young and Norma Young of Nashville; and his former wife Ginger Daneen Young. He is survived by: his wife Jane Young (Keef); his sister Carol White (David) of Greenbrier, TN; his grandchildren, Ella and Emmaline Young; his stepchildren, Charlie Wert (Lauren Sansing) of Pensacola, FL and Cissy Williams (Bob) of Dickson, TN; and his stepgrandchildren, Kara Montgomery (Peyton), Ethan Wert, Jack Wert, Drew Williams and Allyson Williams. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers or other gifts, Clay's family requests that a memorial donation be made to "The Ginger Harris Young Endowment Scholarship" at Freed Hardeman University, to assist students majoring in special education at the university. Donations may be sent to the the fund at the Office of Advancement, 158 E. Main St., Henderson TN, 38340.
