He was predeceased by: his mother Sue Proffitt (Bartley). He is survived by: his father James Lewis "Jim" Proffitt of Tompkinsville, KY; and his siblings, Julie Hibbett (Rob) of Florence, AL and Jonathan Proffitt of Nashville, TN..
