He was predeceased by: his sons, Charles Edward Pendergrass and Carroll Lynn Pendergrass; and his siblings, Carroll Henry, Anthony Wayne Pendergrass and Neva Christine Buttrey.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Cochran Pendergrass; his sons, Robert Glenn Pendergrass (Phoebe) and Jerry Ashley Pendergrass (Nina); his grandchildren, Kayla Van Aken (Mark), Samantha Bardin (James), Hannah Thomason (Cody), Datin Pendergrass and Gracie Pendergrass; his great grandchildren, Brody Van Aken and Riley Thomason; and his brothers, David Carter Pendergrass and Thomas Henry Sullivan.
The family is asking that memorial contributions be made to New Hope Cemetery c/o the New Hope Baptist Church in Bon Aqua, TN.
