He was predeceased by: his parents, Franklin Lewis and Julia Polan Winters; his wife Ruby Shanes Winters; and his siblings, Lucille Clifton, Lois Eisler, Hazel Braum, Theola Traver, Leslie "Bud" Winters, Marie Martin, Joyce Holland and Larry Winters.

He is survived by: his children, Wayne Winters (Janice Fay) of Bon Aqua, Jimmy Winters (Reba) of Lyles and Kathy Redden (Bobby) of Bon Aqua; and his siblings, Bobby Winters (Nina) of Bon Aqua and Faye Pruitt (Charles) of Bon Aqua. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
