It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Kenneth Vaught (Bolivar, Tennessee), born in Wynne, Arkansas, who passed away on February 20, 2025, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Eleanor Kay Ferguson Vaught; his brother Howard Vaught; his nephew Johnny Vaught; and his parents, Ernest Raymond Vaught and Goldie Henderson Vaught.
He is survived by: his daughters, Elizabeth Vaught-Jenkins of Roanoke, Virginia, Vickie Vaught-Burlison (Steve) of Winter Springs and Patricia Vaught-Bishop (Gary) of Counce, Tennessee.; his grandchildren, Angela Burlison Gustafson (Scott), Aaron Burlison (Jubeth), Anne R. Jenkins, Austin Bishop (Krista) and Amanda Bishop; and his sister Rose Jeannette Mobley of Coweta. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Shackelford Funeral Directors - Bolivar (109 Mecklinburg Dr, Bolivar, TN 38008). A funeral service was held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 3:15 PM at the Mt. Comfort Cemetery.
As a life member of Mariner Lodge No. 2 in Charleston, South Carolina, he embraced the values of brotherhood and charity.
