She was predeceased by: her husband Rich Emerson; her parents, Walter Gleason Pirtle and Alene Gardner Pirtle; her daughter Cynthia Marie Laster; and her sisters, Helen Pirtle Parrish and Doris Nell Coleman.
She is survived by: her children, Deborah Diane Laster of Jackson and Matt Emerson (Kim) of Hornsby; and her grandchildren, Robert Connor Emerson, Campbell Emerson and Katelyn Emerson.
