She was predeceased by: her parents, Hubert Lacy and Cercie Willougby Thornton; her husband James Wesley "Shug" King; and her siblings, Lillian Fawcett, Katherine Howell, Margie Clayton, Hubert and Earnest Thornton.
She is survived by: her sons, Lynn King (Linda) of Ripley, TN and Terry King (Annette) of Toone; her sister Georgia Hillhouse of Jackson; her grandchildren, Jenny McManus (Adam), Amy, Angie King, Jared King (Chrissy), Lacy Jacobs (Daniel) and Carrie Joyner (Adam); and her great grandchildren, Danilyn, Hazely, Noah Jacobs, Allison King, Collin Rand, Kinsley, Whitley and Sutton Joyner.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Shackelford Funeral Directors - Bolivar (109 Mecklinburg Dr, Bolivar, TN 38008). A funeral service was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 at 2:30 PM at the Vernon Cemetery (2830 Dry Creek Rd, Toone, TN 38381).
