He is survived by: his wife Nita Hixson of Cleveland, Tennessee; his children, Lindsay Butler (Kene), Coen of St. Augustine, Florida and Kevin Hixson (Erin); his grandchildren, Emma, Clara Kate and Bennett of Richmond Hill, Georgia; his sister Lisa Hinton (Myron) of Columbia; his nieces and nephews, Lee Hinton (Jessica) and Kyle Hinton (Kayla); his great-niece Jessica Russell (Jeremy); and his great-nephew Gregory Hixson (Heather).
