He was predeceased by: his parents, Boyd Brooks and Nona Love Atchison Brooks; and his siblings, Roger Franklin Brooks and Frances Kambesis. He is survived by: his wife Janie Brooks of Bogota, TN; his children, Ricky Brooks (Cindy) of Dyersburg, TN, Cathey Brooks of St. Louis, MO and Jerri Anne Whitman (Anthony) of Dresden, MA; his stepchildren, Glenda Phillips of Rome, GA and Ricky Smothers (Darlene) of Dyersburg, TN; and his sister Lillie May Brooks of Hobart, IN. He is also survived by seventeen grandchildren; and twenty-seven great-grandchildren.
Due to the increase of Covid-19, the family requests that mask be worn at the visitation and funeral services.
