She was predeceased by: her parents, Homer Joslin and Juanita Omega Joslin; her son Charles Wayne Thurmond; and her brothers, Walter Ronald Joslin and Luther David Joslin.
She is survived by: her husband Charles Hinton Thurmond of Bogota, Tennessee; her children, Cynthia Lucio of Hopkinsville, Deborrah Cooper of Southaven, Mississippi, Chuck Thurmond of Dyersburg, Tennessee and Steven Eugene Thurmond of Dyersburg, Tennessee; her grandchildren, Scott Pugh (Jennifer), Melanie Hammock, Eric Thurmond, Angel Thurmond (Randy), Kyle Thurmond, Craig Thurmond, Kimberly Thurmond, Brittany Thurmond, Anthony Sweat (Therese), Heather Alexander (Josh), Zachary Thurmond and Jasmine Cooper; her great grandchildren, Skylarr Sullivan, Caden Hankins, Kaely King, Zayden Grantham, Juniper Sweat and Jay Alexander; and also, Jeff Wilson, Jamie Sweat and Jim Bobo.
The family asks that memorial contributions be directed to the Independent Free Holiness Church, 1201 Upper Finley Road, Dyersburg, Tennessee 38024.
